“The SONG OF THE BLUE WIZARD” is an attempt to render into English the timeless wisdom of Krishna’s incredible message to mankind contained in Srimadbhagawadgita Bhavarth, the highly popular textbook of Lord Jagannath Charitable Trust which has been running 1-year Gita Course in multiple centers in Jaipur for last 13 years.

The word “Bhavarth” means émotional, implied or deeper meaning of a line or couplet of verse.

“Bhagwadgita Bhavarth” means the explication, interpretation, illumination and commentary on the 700 shlokas of Gita.

Bhagwad Gita is not a religious book. If human being is the creation of the almighty God as one of the life forms in Nature, Bhagwad Gita is the manual for humans to conduct themselves through their life, uttered as answers by Krishna to questions by Arjuna. And hence these philosophic words of Krishna, known as the Divine Song, contain within the eighteen chapters every aspect of conduct of life, leading to realization of the role of self (atma) in this infinite universe and the relationship of the self with the creator (paramatma).

संकीर्तन वह होता है, जिसमें राग-रागिनियों के साथ उच्च स्वर से नामका गान किया जाय। भगवान् के नामके सिवाय उनकी लीला, गुण, प्रभाव आदि का भी कीर्तन होता है, परन्तु इन सबमें नाम-संकीर्तन बहुत सुगम और श्रेष्ठ है।
नाम-संकीर्तन में ताल-स्वर सहित राग-रागिनियों के साथ जितना ही तल्लीन होकर ऊँचे स्वर में नामका गान किया जाय, उतना ही वह अधिक श्रेष्ठ होता है।

भगवान् ने मनुष्य को ऐसी योग्यता दी है, जिससे वह तत्त्वज्ञान को प्राप्त करके मुक्त हो सकता है; भक्त हो सकता है; संसार की सेवा भी कर सकता है और भगवान् की सेवा भी कर सकता है। यह संसार की आवष्यकता की पूर्ति भी कर सके और भगवान् की भूख भी मिटा सके, भगवान् को भी निहाल कर सके-ऐसी सामर्थ्य भगवान् ने मनुष्य को दी है! और किसी को भी ऐसी योग्यता नहीं दी, देवताओं को भी नहीं दी।

भगवान् को भूख किस बात की है?

भगवान् को प्रेम की भूख है।

When God was getting bored being alone He created the universe. God created men for His own sake. The world might have been created for man’s benefit but man has been created for His own sake.

How do we know this?

The world is perishable and God is eternal. By establishing a relationship with the world one repeatedly suffers miseries whereas by building a relationship with God one remains in a state of bliss, where there is not an iota of sorrow. Dependence on the world is perishable and dependence on God is everlasting.

We have been hearing such things from saints and other great people, we also read such things in vedas and Puranas and also believe in them but even after believing such truths our miseries do not come to an end.

संसार के संबंध से दुःख-ही-दुःख होता है और परमात्मा के संबंध से आनन्द-ही-आनन्द। इन बातों को हम संत-महापुरूषों से सुनते हैं और स्वयं मानते हैं, फिर भी हमारा दुःख दूर क्यों नहीं हो रहा है? हमें भगवान् क्यों नहीं मिल रहे हैं?

एक बड़ा सवाल जो सबके मन में आता होगा लोग मूर्ति पूजा क्यों करते हैं? हमारे सनातन वैदिक सिद्धान्त में भक्तलोग मूर्ति का पूजन नहीं करते, प्रत्युत परमात्मा का ही पूजन करते हैं। तात्पर्य है कि परमात्मा के लिये मूर्ति बनाकर उस मूर्ति में उस परमात्मा का पूजन करते हैं, जिससे सुगमतापूर्वक परमात्मा का ध्यान-चिन्तन होता रहे।
