Bhagavad Gita 7.6: Verse 6

एतद्योनीनि भूतानि सर्वाणीत्युपधारय।
अहं कृत्स्नस्य जगतः प्रभवः प्रलयस्तथा।।7.6।।

भावार्थ - Gist

हे अर्जुन! तू ऐसा समझ कि सम्पूर्ण भूत इन दोनों प्रकृतियों से ही उत्पन्न होने वाले हैं और मैं सम्पूर्ण जगत का प्रभव तथा प्रलय हूँ अर्थात्‌ सम्पूर्ण जगत का मूल कारण हूँ॥7.6॥

Understand that all beings, animate as well as inanimate are evolved from the combination of My two natures—the insentient or lower nature and the sentient or the higher nature. I am the cause of their origin and even I am the cause of their dissolution.

व्याख्या - Explanation

(1) जो न खुद को जान सके और न दूसरे को जान सके, वह अपरा प्रकृति है। जो खुद को भी जान सके और दूसरे को भी जान सके, वह परा प्रकृति है। मूल दोष एक ही है- अपरा के साथ सम्बन्ध। यह एक दोष आ जाय, तो सम्पूर्ण दोष आ जायेंगे और यह एक दोष दूर हो जाय, तो सम्पूर्ण दोष दूर हो जायेंगे। इसी तरह मूल गुण भी एक है- भगवान् के साथ सम्बन्ध।
(2) सभी वस्तुओं को सत्ता-स्फूर्ति कृष्ण से ही मिलती है, इसलिये कृष्ण कहते हैं कि मैं सम्पूर्ण जगत् का उत्पन्न करने वाला और प्रलय हूँ।

  1. That which is incapable of knowing itself and others is insentient, lower energy(Apara). That higher nature which is capable of knowing itself and also others, is sentient, higher energy(para). The primary fault of the soul is only one– attachment to insentient energy. This solitary evil is sufficient to attract all other evils and if this one evil is rooted out then all other evils would be wiped off. Similarly the primary virtue is also only one— recognizing one’s relation with God.
  2.  All created beings owe their very existence and energy to Krishna. That is  why Krishna says, “I am the creator of the entire universe and it dissolves in Me.
