Gist
But for one who takes pleasure in the self and is self satisfied, fully satiated there is no prescribed duty.
Explanation
1. No one can repose love in the world for all times to come. The attraction between husband and wife fades away after the birth of one or two children .Sometimes women even murmer why can’t the old man die? Similarly pleasure derived from food has a small duration, satisfaction from wealth is also momentary. Soon the desire for more wealth crops up. In effect pleasure and satisfaction in material things are only illusory and not factual. If it was factual, desire for more and dissatisfaction would not have arisen again.
2. Secondly, person with desires is always unhappy .Because desire is born of lacking something and till such time desired thing is not achieved. Person is not comfortable and on getting the desired object he feels subjected to it.
